Annua is a collection of small, independent hotels shaped by the places they belong to.
Old country estates, houses by the sea, gardens, vineyards and buildings with stories of their own. We find places with character and give them a new life through architecture, food, local culture and a very particular way of looking after people.
No two Annua hotels are the same. They are not supposed to be.
What connects them is something less visible: a sense of intimacy, an obsession with detail and the feeling that, for a few days, you have been given the keys to a rather extraordinary house.
OUR STORY
It all began with a house in Menorca.
In 2021, brothers Iñaki and Álvaro Sasiambarrena found an old Menorcan finca surrounded by countryside near Alaior.
It became Amagatay, the first Annua hotel.
What began there soon became a way of thinking about hospitality: small hotels with a strong sense of place, created slowly and individually rather than according to a formula. Since then, Annua has grown from Menorca to Lanzarote and Mallorca, restoring houses and estates whose architecture, landscape and stories deserve to continue.
The ambition has remained remarkably simple: to create places we would genuinely want to stay in ourselves.

Space. Privacy. Good food. Interesting people. Beautiful things made properly. And enough time to enjoy all of them.
For us, hospitality begins with a place and everything that already exists around it.
The architecture. The landscape. The people who grow, fish, cook and make things there. The rhythm of the island. Even the way the light enters a room in the afternoon.
Our job is not to erase any of it.
It is to make you want to stay.

From a nineteenth-century Menorcan finca surrounded by countryside to a former family home in Lanzarote and a grand house overlooking the Mediterranean in Mallorca, each Annua hotel tells its own story.
